What we prescribe

Tier 1 formulary

A short, deliberate list — each item earns its place when the labs and the clinical picture call for it.

The problem

"Your numbers are normal" isn't always the answer.

Most primary care visits don't include a full hormone workup. Many men are told they're "in range" while symptoms quietly compound — energy, libido, recovery, mood. We do the workup other clinics skip.

You're not imagining it

Persistent low energy, low libido, slow recovery, and mood shifts can have a clinical, treatable cause. We listen, we test, and we explain.

One lab isn't enough

The Endocrine Society requires two morning, fasting total testosterone draws plus free T, LH, FSH, and SHBG before any diagnosis. We do all of it.

Treatment is a decision, not a default

If your labs and history don't support TRT, we'll tell you. About a third of men we evaluate aren't candidates — and we'd rather be honest than profitable.

How it works

Four steps. No drive-thru prescriptions.

From first message to first dose, every step is led by a Massachusetts-licensed physician.

1
Eligibility check

A short, private screen confirms you're a MA resident, 21+, and a likely candidate. Takes about 3 minutes.

2
Comprehensive labs

Morning fasting draws at a Quest or Labcorp Patient Service Center near you. We order the full panel — total T, free T, SHBG, LH, FSH, sensitive estradiol, CBC, CMP, lipids, PSA, and more.

3–5 days
3
Physician video visit

A 30-minute video consult with a MA-licensed physician to review your labs, history, and goals. If TRT isn't right for you, we'll say so and explain why.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to be a Massachusetts resident?
Yes. We are licensed and operate exclusively in Massachusetts. Every prescribing physician on our team holds an active Massachusetts medical license, and our pharmacy partners are licensed under 247 CMR 6.09 to ship into the Commonwealth. If you move out of state, we'll help you transition your care.
Will TRT make me infertile?
Exogenous testosterone suppresses the body's own testosterone and sperm production. This is reversible for most men but not guaranteed. If fertility now or later matters to you, we discuss it before any prescription and offer fertility-preserving protocols (gonadorelin/hCG or enclomiphene as a TRT alternative). We will never start TRT without that conversation.
How fast will I get a prescription?
We don't promise a "prescription in 24 hours" because that's not how careful medicine works. From eligibility to first dose typically takes 7–14 days — most of that is waiting for your morning lab draw and results. If your labs and history don't support a TRT prescription, you won't receive one.
Is testosterone a controlled substance?
Yes. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance under federal law and Massachusetts General Law c. 94C. We follow all DEA, BORIM, and Massachusetts EPCS (electronic prescribing of controlled substances) rules and query the MassPAT prescription monitoring program where applicable.
What does the TRAVERSE trial actually say?
TRAVERSE was a large, randomized, placebo-controlled trial published in NEJM (2023) that found no increased risk of major adverse cardiovascular events with testosterone therapy in men with hypogonadism. It also flagged a small increase in atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, and acute kidney injury — risks we discuss with every patient before starting therapy.
